Melody, always.
If the hook doesn't catch you on the first listen, no clever line is going to save it. I've tried. Melody gets a nine from me, lyrics a steady six. Now and then both land at once and a song takes off in a way I didn't see coming.
Every name on this label is me, Lars, working out of one room in the Netherlands. Different projects, very different genres, one person who never managed to pick a lane. If you have ever played a song forty times and then wondered how they did the drums, you will probably feel at home here.

The thirty seconds behind your video, the loop under a montage, the song that finishes off a mood. I love it when a track ends up somewhere I never planned. There's nothing cynical about wanting your music to have a life of its own.
Each project gets its own sound, its own story, its own biography. I write them the way a press kit would: early releases, quiet years, comebacks. Different genres, because I never could pick just one and eventually stopped trying to.
A few favourites up top, then it wanders across genres. Somewhere in here is probably a song for you, and definitely one that isn't. Both are fine by me.
New music lands here most weeks.
Some of it might be your thing.
